The above excerpt is from Panthers in the Hole, a French graphic novel by Bruno and David Cénou about the lives and struggles of Robert Hillary King, Albert Woodfox, and Herman Wallace, who together as the “Angola 3” fought against prisoner abuse and racial injustice while collectively serving over 100 years in solitary confinement for a crime they did not commit. An English translation by Olivia Taylor Smith was released in July by Phoneme Media.
